Individual - 1040

Trust - 1041

According to the IRS in 2006 over 49,050 Estate Tax Returns (706) were filed. When you're dealing with a personal loss the last thing you want to think about is how to pay taxes on the estate. If you have an experienced executor they should be helping you through this area. In 2007 an executor must file Form 706 - Estate Tax Return for any U.S. persons gross estate over two million dollars.

It's very important that the 706 be properly filled out so that the estate can take advantage of all the possible deductions and credits. Remember that the estate return may also affect your individual 1040 if monies are distributed.

Some of the services we offer with filing your 706 include:

  • Computer software analysis of all returns to ensure math and common mistakes are avoided.
  • Provide you with an easy to use Organizer to gather your information together at the beginning of the year.
  • Discuss the final results of the Tax Return and if needed file a Tax Extension for you.
  • Discuss how your 706 will affect if applicable your 1040 Tax Return.
